Capitola – Capitola Village is the quintessential beach town. Nestled on the South end of Santa Cruz right on the sand it is one of my favorite places to ride my bike to and just people watch. People come here from all over the world. In the heart of Summer all you hear are foreign languages. In the few hours it took me to take these photos, I heard an Asian language, Dutch, German and French being spoken amongst vacationing families. The ultimate vacation spot is in Capitola. You can surf, boogie board, paddle board, frolic in the ocean, visit the wharf to listed to live music or have a bite to eat at the Wharf House. Another option is to rent a fishing boat off the wharf and go out and hook some halibut, or perch or even a great white shark these days. If you want a cool place to visit come to Capitola. Don’t miss the Capitola Art & Wine Festival or the last Capitola Begonia Festival happening this September.
